Book-ish has been on the High Street for 3 years now and is well loved by locals and visitors alike. Emma hand picks all the books on the shelves (point blank refusing to stock chick lit) and searches high and low to find quirky gifts, stationary and traditional toys. Whenever you visit Book-ish you always see something new, and if you’re a lover of all things booky, you have to have right there and then.

Book-ish can order any book and goes to great lengths to find out of print titles for special customer orders. Their customer service is excellent and you can always be assured of a friendly chat with whoever is behind the counter (Emma, Gemma or Jane)

It’s a true community bookshop which regularly runs events on all manner of subjects, from poetry workshops to Gardening talks. They also support many local initiatives and raise money for their nominated charity ‘Book Trust’ through quizzes and the 5p carrier bag charge.

A little known fact……They can also sell you e-books!
